INTRODUCTIONS
When you first join a company, there are many phrases that
you can use to introduce yourself. Other people may also use a variety of
phrases to introduce you.
It is common to shake hands with new colleagues and
introduce yourself.
- Use when you meet someone you have heard about : You must be Raka from the UK. Tiza has told me a lot about you.
- When you meet someone you think you may have met before : I think we met in Bandung, didn”t we? I’m Nurul from SM Group.
- When you meet someone for the first time : Hello, I don’t think we’ve met. I’m Nuti.

GETTING TO KNOW COLLEAGUES
Talking about your past work experience is a good way to get
to know your colleagues. Past simple and past continuous tenses are often used
to do this.
- Use the past simple to talk about a single, completed action in the past, past habits, or a state that was true for a time in the past.
“I fixed computers.” “I worked for TCE
consultants.” = Add "-ed" to most verbs to form the past simple.
“I ran may own construction company.” “I was a
legal assistant.” = Many common verbs have irregular past simple form.
- Use the past continuous to talk about ongoing actions that were in progress at a certain time in the past.
For example:
Kai : What was your last job like?
Sehun : Awfull I was working 60 hours a week before I came here.
I hope my explanation can help all of you.
Today, I was given a quiz on the application that I had mentioned at the previous meeting. What's the quiz like? definitely related to the introduction material and getting to know colleagues that I explained to you earlier. Interestingly, the quiz method is not boring, friends. Because it uses audio. So, we can increase our listening skills. That's all the quiz for this week's meeting. I'm sure you guys can be more excited for the next quiz..
